The founders of SWAF, Inc. invented the AquaLogic™ storm water filtration system, which is protected by US Patent Nos. 6077423 & 6171507.  SWAF is an acronym for Storm Water Abatement Filtration. SWAF, Inc. also does business as (dba) AquaLogic™.

The design and construction of the AquaLogic™ system must be in accordance with the latest requirements of both the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and your governing municipality for new and updated storm water catch basins. TCEQ developed their Technical Guidance Manual (TCEQ RG-348, Revised July 2005) to provide guidance for the design of approved permanent structural Best Management Practice (BMP) catch basins, including the AquaLogic™ filtration system.  Subsequent updated guidelines related to the AquaLogic™ system were approved by the TCEQ San Antonio office in August 2006.  These revisions can be obtained from AquaLogic™. The procedures presented in updated guidelines will enable the engineer to design an effective AquaLogic™ stormwater treatment basin that exceeds the filtration capability of a traditional sand filtration basin.  The superior performance of the AquaLogic™ system enables SWAF, Inc. to indemnify the property owner against any potential regulatory compliance fines levied due to incorrect basin operation.  This indemnity is extended if the basin is properly designed and constructed in accordance with the procedures contained in the updated guidelines.  Because each permanent structural BMP catch basin is unique and custom-designed, AquaLogic™ requests the opportunity to participate at the  30%, 60%, and 90% (or equivalent) design reviews to coordinate the project design with the recommendations presented in the updated guidelines.
